Maria Encalada was born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico and then moved later on to Brooklyn, New York. From there she met her husband Guido Encalada and they married on July 2nd, 1986. Together they have four sons: Manuel, Christopher, Ezekiel, and Guido Jr.
